Description:
The body is elongated and the eyes are almost contiguous, each equipped with a small tentacle. Posterior rays of the dorsal and anal fins are mostly connected to the caudal fin. The pectoral fins have unequal lengths and the scales are moderately ctenoid on both sides of the body. The coloration is light brown with 10 or 11 darker simple or double crossbars that are wider than the pale interspaces. These markings continue in an oblique slant on the dorsal and anal fins.Caudal fin is dark brown, featuring a narrow U-shaped whitish band at its base.
