Description:
The shape of the snout is broadly rounded and the tongue lacks teeth. In adults, the supraoccipital bone of the skull is thin and blade-like. The coloration typically consists of a blue-grey color above and a paler shade below the head and body. Large adults may display a golden-orange coloration, especially on the snout and lower half of the body. The second dorsal fin is dark with the fin lobe being dusky orange and the caudal fin ranges from dark to dirty orange, with the leading edges being the darkest.
