Description:
The shell is small to moderately large, thick, oval-shaped, solid, and rather inflated. The outer margin is rounded, and the inner margin is crenulated. The interior surface is smooth, with muscle scars. The escutcheon (the central area of the shell) is deeply sunken between the valves. The lunule is small and elongate. The color of the shell is creamy, with rays and concentric bands of purple and purplish-brown markings.
