Description:
The body is characterized by a pearly grey color and features three or four roughly aligned rows of circular black spots along the sides. The bases of the soft dorsal and anal fins exhibit elongated spots and streaks. There is an elongated blackish spot on the first dorsal fin situated between the third to fifth dorsal fin spines. The fish has interorbital and post-orbital pores as well as preopercular pores. Pectoral rays range from 18-21. Longitudinal scales count between 25-29 and there are 8-10 transverse scales backward. Predorsal scales number 7-10 and extend behind the eyes.
