Description:
The fish is characterized by two series of narrow, dark, oblique lines set at right angles to each other, creating a chevron pattern on a whitish background. It features a broad black band through the eye, a second band through the caudal peduncle, and a third band through the middle of the caudal fin. Additionally, fine orange stripes are present across the forehead. Juveniles of this species exhibit a black spot at the rear of the dorsal fin.
