Description:
The fish has a very deep body, a moderately long and pointed snout that is longer than the eye diameter, and a steep and slightly convex head profile. The lateral line is complete, and the dorsal fin has 11 spines and 23–27 soft rays. The anal fin is equipped with 3 spines and 15–18 soft rays. In terms of coloration, the body is white with two broad black bands, and the snout and interorbital space are predominantly blackish. The caudal fin and the posterior part of the dorsal fin exhibit a mainly yellow coloration.
