Description:
The distinguishing features of this species include the merging of the black band running up the rear of the body with the black dorsal fin margin and eye band, forming a horseshoe-shaped mark. Additionally, instead of black tail fin bands, there are reddish-brown bands, and the soft dorsal and anal fins in adults have a more pointed appearance.
