Description:
The fish has an inferior mouth, and its mental pores, dentition, sagitta. There are 8–13 gill rakers on the lower limb of the 1st gill arch. The scale arrangement includes 8–13 scale rows above the lateral line to the origin of the dorsal fin and 12–17 scale rows below the lateral line to the origin of the anal fin. In terms of color, the body is silvery with faint oblique stripes along the scale series. The margin of the soft dorsal fin is dark, and the paired fins have a yellow tinge.
