Description:
Its body length is 15–40 mm (total length), rostrumis is very short or absent. Carapace is smooth, without significant spines or ornamentation. Eyes large, stalked, well-developed, antennules (First antennae) slender, multi-segmented. Antennae (Second antennae) is very long, whip-like. Telson is triangular, lacks spines or setae (key feature to distinguish from other Acetes). Uropods is Symmetrical, fan-shaped, flanking telson. Usually absent or 1–3 very small teeth, often difficult to see. no teeth on lower rostrum. body color Transparent to pale pink, especially when fresh; may become reddish when dried.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
The shrimp is found possibly in the Bay of Bengal part of Bangladesh.
