The body of this crustacean is somewhat transparent, with a short rostrum that has two distinct teeth. The telson of the female is triangular at the apex, while the male has a rounded genital coxa at the anterior margin. The petasma of the male does not have a pars astringens and it has one clasping spine on the lower antennular flagellum.
