Description:
It has moderately compressed and elongated, with a large, depressed head.Eyes positioned dorsally (on top of the head), adapted for upward vision.Mouth large, oblique, and directed upwards; ideal for ambush feeding. It may have a pair of electric organs derived from eye muscles, used to stun prey or for defense.Typically brownish or sandy in color to blend with the substrate; often with darker mottling.
