Description:
There are 25–29 total gill rakers on the 1st gill arch and 15–17 rays in the pectoral fin. The body features 4–5 yellow or pale brown lateral stripes with the longest mid-lateral stripe extending from the eye to the caudal fin base and the lowermost stripe running from the pectoral fin base to the caudal fin base. The stripes on the mid-body connect to oblique bars on the caudal fin. The barbels are white.
