Description:
The belly features 26–31 scutes extending from the isthmus to the anus. Typically, there are 12–14 lower gill rakers. The first supra-maxilla is small and oval. The pseudobranch is concealed under the skin. In terms of color, there is a dark blotch composed of horizontal wavy black lines behind the upper part of the gill opening.
