Description:
Outside of the shell is white under a yellowish-brown periostracum, which is the outer covering of the shell. The inside of the shell is white, often tinged light yellow towards the umbonal cavity, which is the pointed end of the shell. Shell is orbicularly ovate. The two shells are equal in size. The sculpture is radiately ribbed, meaning it is marked with ridges that radiate from the center of the shell. There are up to 20 ribs, and they are tuberculate, meaning they have small bumps
