The abactinal plates have a polygonal shape and are coated with tiny granules encased in a thick membrane. In the areas with papulae, there is a single pore. The arms are wide at the base, then sharply narrow and extend into a slender tip. There are no superomarginal spines. The inferomarginal spine is long and solitary. The adambulacral plates have furrow spines and clearly defined subambulacral spines.
