Description:
Maxilla does not extend below the anterior margin of the eye. The 1st gill arch has two prominent gill rakers. Caudal fin is forked without a pair of lobes at the posterior margin. The tips of the pectoral fins extend beyond the origin of the 1st dorsal fin. There are 78–85 pored lateral line scales. The head and body are dark green dorsally while the underside is silvery white. The body features two faint yellowish-brown longitudinal stripes. Anal and pelvic fins are transparent. The pectoral fin is dusky with a dark margin at the base. Caudal fin is yellow with a greenish tint near the base and the entire margin is dusky.
