Description:
The body is elongated, featuring a depressed head and snout. Eyes constitute 3-11% of the head length. The fish has two dorsal fins, with the second spine of the first dorsal fin being notably elongated and filamentous. The eyes are small and nearly covered by fleshy orbits. Additionally, scales on the lateral line are small.
