Description:
The fish has a deep and compressed body, with a depth measuring 1.9-2.2 times the standard length. The dorsal profile of the head is convex, slightly concave above the eye, and the caudal fin is emarginate. The dorsal fin consists of 13 spines and 10 soft rays. The coloration features a vermiculate pattern covering the head and body, with dark spots arranged in rows on the soft parts of the dorsal and anal fins. The caudal fin displays dark lines breaking into spots organized in four vertical rows, while the cheek, forehead, and lips exhibit a yellowish color.
