Description:
The lower gill rakers number 11–12 and lack clustered serrations, except for some enlarged and spiky ones at both ends of each raker. Pectoral fins have the first fin ray extended as a long filament with its tip reaching backward to the base of the 35th to 41st anal fin ray. Regarding coloration, there is no dark pigment on the gill cover or pectoral fin.
