Description:
It is simillar to Scomberomorus guttatus but with a body depth surpassing the length of the head. The intestine exhibits four folds and five limbs and there are 10–14 gill rakers on the first gill arch. In terms of coloration, the back displays an iridescent greyish-blue shade, the sides are silvery and there are 2–3 irregular rows of small, dark, round spots. The fins, particularly the first dorsal fin are blackish.
