Description:
Scales on the head extend forward to the level of the posterior nostrils, and the lower limb of the preopercle is covered in scales. There is no forward-directed suborbital spine. The pelvic fins are long, reaching between the level of the anus and the origin of the anal fin. An axillary scale is present. The coloration consists of a grey upper body and a whitish lower body, with a blue stripe connecting the eyes.
