Description:
D1 X; D2 11+5; P1 19; P2 I/5; A 12+5. Color of back blue-green, flanks silvery with golden tint; two rows of small dark spots on sides of dorsal-fin bases, narrow dark bands on upper part of body and a black spot on body near of pectoral fin. Dorsal fins yellowish with black tips; caudal and pectoral fins yellowish; other fins dusky. Body fusiform; head length longer than body. Teeth minute and pointed, in a single row in both jaws. Two dorsal fins, widely separated. Scales small, ctenoid.
