Description:
Body has a deeply ovoid shape and the teeth in both jaws are small without anterior enlargement. The scales are ctenoid on the side with eyes and cycloid on the blind side. The gill rakers are long and slender, numbering between 20 and 25 on the lower limb of the 1st gill arch. In terms of color, the body is brownish, featuring one ocellus above and another below the lateral line, as well as one ocellus on the posterior third of the straight section of the lateral line. There are also numerous indistinct spots and blotches on the body.
