Description:
The front part of the lateral line exhibits a moderately regular arch. The junction point of the curved and straight sections situated below the 12th to 14th soft ray of the second dorsal fin. The straight portion of the lateral line has 20 to 32 weak scutes. The fish is generally silvery with bluish-grey above and silvery-white below. The opercle features a small black spot on the upper margin. The tongue is white to pale grey and the soft dorsal and anal fins appear dusky. The central rays of the caudal fin are dusky yellow with a black distal margin.
