Description:
The dorsal fin has a range of 95-100 rays while the anal fin has 74-80 rays. Caudal fin has 7-8 rays. The mid-lateral line scales number between 73-96. The lips on the side of the head with eyes are noticeably fringed with labial papillae. There are two lateral lines on the side with eyes. The rostral hook is shorter which extending only to the hind margin of the lower eye. There are 15-16 longitudinal series of scales between the upper and middle lateral lines.
Habitat & Distribution in Bangladesh:
Cox’s Bazar and Patuakhali regions.
