The medusa of Netrostoma coerulescens has a width of approximately 200 mm or more, featuring a central dome adorned with around 10 wart-like projections. Between the mouths, two kinds of appendages are observed: one type is small, thin, and tubular with noticeable nematocyst warts, while the other is somewhat larger and spindle-shaped. Each octant displays 6-8 lappets with round edges. There are eight oral arms, which are short, robust, laterally compressed, curved outward, bifurcated at the outer ends, and adorned with numerous short lateral branches.
