Description:
It is fragile and inequilateral. The front of the shell is rounded, and the posterior end is obliquely attenuated. The umbones are located at the midlength of the valves. The external ligament is prominent. The color of the shell can be pink, red, white, orange, or shades of these colors, often in concentric bands.
