Description:
Shell obliquely-oval shaped, inequilateral,thin and inflated. Anterior end long and somewhat tapering. Posterior end short that is less than half of the anterior side. Exterior sculptured with fine concentric striae, almost absent on the umbonal region. Teeth bigger in the mid region which are gradually reduced in size on either side. There are 18-22 teeth in the anterior side and posterior with 7 teeth. Umbones are prominent and recurved backward. Colour: exterior olive or greyish with reddish-brown rays emanating from the umbones. nacreous inner side; ventral inner margin is smooth.
