Description:
Colonies typically consist of flat laminae that frequently create overlapping tiers with occasional columnar formations. Their size can span several meters in width. The corallites, which are typically immersed to tubular, have an average diameter of 6 millimeters. The polyps are sizable and their tentacles are generally extended during daylight hours. The prevalent colors are typically shades of grey or brown.
