The thallus branches in a dichotomous pattern, and the upright segments of the thallus have a wedge-shaped base that gradually widens as it extends upward. There are small, pointed, hair-like structures along the edges of the lobes. The thallus is exceptionally thin and delicate, with a rounded tip. In the lower parts of the thallus, growths may emerge from the margins. Reproductive structures appear on both sides of the thallus, creating a speckled appearance. Tetrasporangia are found individually or in small clusters. The plants exhibit colors ranging from green-brown to yellow-brown and have a membranous texture, attaching themselves through rhizoids.
