Description:
The seaweed has several irregularly bifurcated cylindrical branches and is upright, clustered, hemispherical, or mat-like. The algae is between one and three centimeters tall, dark brown or tan in color, and lacks a clear main axis. The applicator on the spindle base is fashioned like a disc. There is a 0.8–1 mm diameter in the branch. Two to three asymmetrical branches with small forks and bifurcated antlers at the extremities of the main branch branch off it.
