Description:
The body is elongated and flat. The side with eyes features coarse ctenoid scales, while the blind side has smooth cycloid scales. The scales on the head are notably larger than those on the body’s ocular side. The mouth is curved and its cleft extends beyond the midpoint of the upper eye. The dorsal and anal fins are connected to the caudal fin which has a bluntly pointed shape. The pectoral fins are symmetrical. It has short pelic fins. Body color is dusty brown, grey or brown on the eyed side of body
