Description:
This species is characterized by dorsal rays XIII, 11-12; anal rays II, 11-12; pectoral rays 17; lateral-line scales 18; and a body depth 1.9-2.0 times the standard length. It has a silvery grey body with a small black spot on the axilla, and its fins are also silvery grey.
