Description:
The fish has a body depth of 2.4–2.6 in standard length (SL), with a convexly curved dorsal profile of the head. The anterior tip of the head forms a broad angle with a steeply inclined snout. The jaws are prominent, featuring four strong canines situated anteriorly in each jaw, with the second pair in the lower jaw directed laterally. A moderately small canine is present on each side at the rear of the upper jaw. There are 16 pectoral fin rays, and the lateral line is complete with 29 pored scales.In terms of coloration, the fish exhibits a reddish-orange to pinkish-brown hue on the head and back, transitioning to white to yellowish on the sides and ventral surface. There is a diagonal brown line connecting the pectoral fin base and the posterior end of the dorsal fin base. The caudal peduncle features several horizontal rows of blue spots, and the head has two short blue lines passing through and beneath the eye, with the chin being blue.
