Description:
The fish in question has the following characteristics: dorsal spines (total) numbering 10-12, dorsal soft rays (total) ranging from 17 to 19, anal spines numbering 3-4, and anal soft rays ranging from 14 to 17. It exhibits a coloration that is white to yellowish below, with seven black stripes over the head and sides. There is one centrally located on the snout and another forming a distinct black margin on the end of both the dorsal and anal fins. A third line extends onto the ventral fin. The snout length is approximately 3.0-4.1 times in the head length, and the body depth is 1.4-1.6 times in the standard length.
