The body is elongated and flattened with a depressed head and a large eye. Interorbital space is very narrow. The first dorsal fin is slightly higher than the second dorsal fin, lacks filaments and has moderately incised membranes. Second dorsal fin is straight at the distal end with unbranched rays and the last ray is divided at its base with the posterior branch slightly elongated. The head and body are beige, while the ventral side is white. Thorax exhibits dark grey pigment and the back has irregularly arranged dark grey, white, and orange spots. The snout displays dark grey pigment spots and there are dark grey pigment spots dorsally on the eye. The opercle features small dark grey, white and orange spots.
