Description:
It has elongated body with a tapering caudal fin. Fine teeth are present on the jaws and palate. The dorsal and anal fins are long forming a continuous structure with the caudal fin. The body is entirely covered with small, cycloid (smooth) scales. It is dark brown with a submarginal black band and a narrow white border on the dorsal and anal fins.
