The jellyfish’s umbrella is biconvex, lacking apical protrusion, thicker at its center and tapering towards the edges, transparent, colorless, and glassy in appearance with a soft, thick mesoglea. Its ring canal is tubular, with up to 150 thin, undivided radial canals. Between successive tentacles, 4 to 10 radial canals may be present. Gonads are linear along most radial canal lengths, appearing as prominent, whitish bulges. Tentacle bulbs are funnel-shaped without keel or excretory papillae, with long lateral extensions on both sides. Each bulb hosts one tentacle, which is simple and hollow. The stomach is circular and covers three-quarters of the umbrella’s diameter.
