Description:
The crab’s carapace is almost pentagonal in shape, with a gently convex dorsal surface. The lateral regions of the carapace have numerous small, rounded granules. There are 2 or 3 distinct conical teeth on each lateral margin and 2 of these teeth are always distinct. The chelipeds have finely granulated surfaces. The color of the crab is tan to purplish tan.
