Description:
The carapace of this crab is rounded, with two long, well-developed lateral spines (pointed projections on the sides). The anterolateral margins (the front edges of the carapace on the sides) are gently serrated (have a saw-toothed edge). The outer surface of the palm (the flat part of the claw) has a low but distinct oblique ridge (a ridge that slants across the surface). The crab’s color is yellowish with numerous fine black spots and several larger ones on the carapace. The legs and chelae (claws) are bright yellow
