Description:
The front of the carapace is bilobed. There are five short, broad teeth on the clypeiform expansions (the shield-like extensions at the front of the carapace). The pterygostomian region has scanty hairs. The arm has a four-lobed crest (a ridge or projection) and the palm has a serrated crest (a ridge with saw-toothed edges). The crab is bright grey in fresh preserved condition.

St. Martin’s island, fairly common in the Sundarbans Mangrove area
