Shell medium, thick, ovate. Umbones slightly posterior to the dorsal margin. Outer surface sculptured by fine, curved growth lines, intersected by very distinct longitudinal lines. Smooth interior with muscle scars. Hinge line small with 2 cardinal teeth in each valve, without the lateral tooth: left valve with 2 hinge groove. Pallial sinus deep, well developed
