Description:
The plants have a pale brown coloration and are anchored by a disc-shaped holdfast. The stem is singular and stands upright, with a rounded or slightly compressed shape. The primary branches are also somewhat compressed. The leaves are elliptical to lanceolate, occasionally with a wedge-shaped base and a rounded or pointed tip. The leaf margins have tiny serrations. The midrib tapers towards the apex. The leaves are thin and papery in texture, and there are numerous small cryptostomata scattered on the leaf surfaces. The vesicles are spherical, have short stalks, and their tips are either rounded or mucronate. The receptacles are cylindrical and narrow towards the apex, arranged in a racemose or paniculate pattern on the upper part of the ultimate branches
