Description:
D1 14; D2 absent; P1 10; P2 6; A 12. . Right brown dorsally, becoming silvery white ventrally; a distinct, longitudinal black line on dorsal midline of upper jaw. Upper half of the dorsal dark. Body elongate, subcyrindrical. Lower jaw much prolonged, javelin-like; upper jaw wider than long; nasal papilla elongate and pointed. Base of dorsal fin longer than anal-fin base; 4th and/or 5th dorsal rays elongated. Caudal fin rounded.
