Description:
The shell is medium-sized, egg-shaped, and rather thick. It is taller than it is wide, and has protruding, narrowly rounded umbones that are situated above the hinge line (the line where the two halves of the shell meet). The exterior of the shell is sculptured with 32-34 strong radial ribs with narrow spaces between them.
