The shell is of moderate size, elongated, and has a spindle-shaped, conical form with a long spire. The aperture is slender, and the columella is smooth and deeply concave, forming a whorl with a noticeable keel. There are 9-10 secondary spiral threads both above and below the keel, along with a slender cord just before the suture. The suture is characterized by spiral ribs, and the outer lip features two notches.
