The button snail measures between 0.8 to 1 centimeter in size. Its shell is delicate and circular, displaying a captivating array of colors and patterns. Each button snail is unique, with no two snails looking exactly the same. They are often referred to as the “Jewels of Chek Jawa” by guides due to their enchanting appearance. The snail’s operculum is a thin, horn-like structure with concentric rings and is yellow in color. This operculum is flexible and enables the snail to retreat deep into the coils of its shell for protection. The snail’s body is pale with speckles, and the edge of its mantle is adorned with long tentacles. It has a long, leaf-like foot for mobility. The snail possesses tiny eyes on elongated stalks and its long tentacles are finely banded. Additionally, it has two tubular siphons, one of which is fringed.
