Description:
The plants display a color that ranges from grass-green to vibrant green. The thallus has a leafy and membranous structure, typically consisting of a single frond originating from the holdfast. These fronds can be undivided, or they may have irregular lobes or divisions. The margins of the fronds are smooth and without interruptions. The surface cells are arranged in an irregular pattern and are mostly isodiametric to slightly elongated. In the upper sections of the thallus, it is two layers thick and measures 40-50 μm, with cells appearing square to rectangular in cross-section. At the base, there is a narrow to moderately broad central mass of rhizoids.
