The shell is sizeable and robust, with a spire longer than what’s typical in other species within this genus. The whorls are either smooth and rounded or slightly angled, featuring spiral ridges separated by grooves. These ridges are intersected by longitudinal lines, creating a beaded effect. The body whorl has a noticeable ridge at the shoulder. The aperture is moderately round, and there is a deep umbilicus. The columella has a sloping callus, and the outer lip is thick and exhibits surface ridges.
