The shell is solid and flattened, with four distinct whorls and a well-defined suture. It has a short, sharp spire. The exterior surface is coarse, marked by prominent and uneven spiral ridges. The body whorl is more substantial than the spire. The umbilicus is evident and deep. The aperture is circular, lacking any teeth on the lips. The columella is robust and flares out towards the front. The body surface is a light greenish color with longitudinal bands in shades of chestnut-brown or black, while the aperture has a subdued white hue.
